These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Seamcut's website and AI video-editing service (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is provided by Seamcut ("Seamcut", "we", "us"). These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice, form the agreement between you and us. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
We offer a free plan and one or more paid plans, as described on our pricing page. Features, limits, and availability of each plan may change. We may offer free trials of paid features; unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan may convert to a paid subscription. We provide the Service on a commercially reasonable-efforts basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
You retain all rights to the video, audio, and other content you upload ("Your Content"). You grant Seamcut a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and modify Your Content solely to provide the Service to you (for example, to transcribe, analyse, edit, and render outputs) and as instructed by you. This licence ends when you delete Your Content or close your account, subject to routine backup cycles and legal retention.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that its upload and processing do not violate any law or third-party right. You are solely responsible for obtaining any consents needed from people who appear in Your Content. We do not use Your Content to train AI models or for advertising.

The Service uses automated and AI techniques to edit your media. AI output can contain errors, miss content, or remove material you wanted to keep. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on or publishing them. The Service is a tool to assist your editing, not a substitute for your own review and judgement, and we make no warranty about the accuracy or suitability of any AI-generated result.
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Seamcut and its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted by law. Outputs you generate from Your Content belong to you, subject to any third-party rights in the underlying material.
The Service may integrate with or rely on third-party services (such as hosting, storage, transcription, and payment providers). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or others. We may also discontinue the Service or any plan with reasonable notice. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and we may delete Your Content after a reasonable period, subject to legal retention. Sections that by their nature should survive (including content licences you granted for already-processed material, IP, disclaimers, liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that outputs will meet your requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including certain rights of consumers.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seamcut and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seamcut from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right — including any failure to obtain consents required from people who appear in Your Content.
We may modify the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide notice (for example, by email or in-product) before they take effect. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Oregon will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except that consumers may have the right to bring proceedings in their own country of residence where required by law.
